• it is a process, not just a task that your customer requests because he can$ v6 J$ [ U3 s5 u N2 `5 ]
• it is documented method of evaluating a manufacturing process to verify repeatability and functionally of the process3 M/ I; m Q, I# O
• A blueprint, if you will, of how a manufacturing process flows, is controlled and maintained for predicated consistency, time, part to part, and shift to shift.7 u7 ] V+ V9 u2 x, V' t
• The process control plan and PFMEA, which is part of a PPAP is working, living document to control process and evaluate predictability and continuous improvement' z7 ~0 k1 X; ?8 O% D* O
• If used as a process monitor, a PPAP can identify opportunities for scrap reduction, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
