8.4 Classification/ j; l4 E( ~+ z/ g) u; \$ O
The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance
8 q' l4 S# c5 z/ a# h Rwith the criteria given below.
6 `6 O% H& Y2 ?9 ^$ |, x8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:
# j J" R/ v5 s# qa) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;2 ~" \! i, S" W5 l0 |% F* g
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the9 w! e; |, H9 M/ _! N! p! L
flame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;
* S( Y: z) O( h; U) Mc) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
" T& {7 |4 l5 N, N40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding
2 q; E% b7 T* T0 j0 e- B6 x4 S' L75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;6 H) Y, W- \/ u6 q i# I2 h' e
d) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm
& i9 n7 m( k% L: s( u p$ L) v4 Bthickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness." Z: B* m, ?( y# D: p
8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:
9 h% Z" l% D7 [& D6 `1 n9 ca) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;
