8.4 Classification; A2 @2 K6 t/ e& c
The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance" ~. t- Z! T# x, d* A& K
with the criteria given below.% U. n: w! e g2 |
8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:
- r/ m' x6 d" a; V* J: d' {/ t9 Ba) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;# ]; ]- I" b9 Q, [) Q
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the
! [) |/ q! S4 s Zflame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;
, G- E; b6 ~; a2 n8 Z9 Xc) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
. r6 ~8 j- I9 j! K( V6 d, f" m3 ~4 X [40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding
3 r& i6 V8 x3 V75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;
1 x5 i* U( |+ P" hd) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm( z; X1 |1 F9 d. z
thickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness.
! F' n. S0 s m) s1 W2 R8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:+ d& |. v0 j" q9 U* i' v
