The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance4 L+ }) o& H' }7 s. [7 }( d: Y3 a
with the criteria given below./ {& _$ m8 y& j5 S K9 E
8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:
- U- Z, d7 D9 \. @- fa) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;+ l, S7 I: W: W7 _; ~0 m5 C
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the9 o4 t: m# G* m z
flame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;" B1 ^' G$ i2 P- C& l2 ~
c) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
, L3 ~# C o3 Y40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding$ Y# D* b$ B; f' z$ L& m5 n$ M7 h- r% n
75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;
3 C* _! G; h# b8 u, \d) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm
, c3 I) D, v5 R9 F7 o2 N) Vthickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness.
* V) ]0 r0 Y% r6 S+ ~! f( d5 c8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:+ m- C. z, g' ^" \
