8.4 Classification0 F4 M4 x; H8 n: K6 p4 f1 Z2 _& F
The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance
. ?. y+ l. @1 H2 Pwith the criteria given below.
# m7 h* G+ u# ?' R7 [2 s8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:
3 m3 Y. X K8 Oa) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;
% K3 ~0 a. c9 S5 ob) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the
( r& o+ I5 R9 G# v8 ^flame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;
) g' A3 R0 X2 i6 }0 e, Oc) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
7 I; W2 A) z) R7 m40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding
+ U- _% ~ u# y/ F9 k( T75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;5 t/ D) v3 E: U& Q0 _ |
d) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm

8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:

c) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
