张璐出生于1977年，外交学院1996级国际法系学生。2010年3月14日，她接替资深翻译费胜潮，第一次出现在温总理两会记者会。这位外交部翻译室英文处副处长是胡锦涛、温家宝的首席翻译。

That is half of the people who have embarked on a one hundred mile journey may fall by the wayside.
亦余心之所向兮，虽九死其犹未悔。
For the ideal that I hold dear to my heart, I will not regret a thousand depth to die.
人或加讪，心无疵兮。
My conscience stays untainted inspite of rumors and slanders from the outside.

not…and…的否定式中被否定的往往是and后面的那一部分。译为unwaveringly carry out更为准确。
骨肉之亲，析而不殊
好！blood ties既传达了“骨肉至亲”的含义，又多了一层“血脉相连”之意，用以表达大陆和台湾人民的情谊很恰当。
如将不尽，与古为新
这句话出自司空图的《二十四诗品》，强调创新的可能性和重要性。由于总理此处谈得主要是“改革”，译者在这里灵活将古诗的核心含义处理为“reform(改革)”，非常到位。
行百里者半九十。
这里译者理解不够准确。原文是说“百里之行的人，走到九十里，只算走了一半。”是表示起步容易，坚持到最后却难，而并非“半途而废”的意思。 |
