I don't know the box what you said used for what product. Because the box used for different product, you need to use different method to calculate. I advice you to use software such as pro/e、ug and catia this software all had the function to analysis.
     but has a question, use this software, it is difficult to evalulate the results if it is ok, I think this need your experience. usussaly the result  of the intention is not smaller the material of your product.

     Of course, you can use the software of Analys.

$ J# r# A3 K. B8 m' DTo analysis gear box is very hard to get very accurate answer, and you still need some existing design to verify your analysis.
Could you tell me more detailed information?
