Unable to startup Wildfire 4.0 with only the logo appeared then disappeared.

When startup Wildfire 4.0, only the logo appear then disappear, Wildfire 4.0 cannot be launched.

Resolutions:" M" v. O! K0 z& ^' V# l% W6 T6 x+ S8 O8 V
This issue happened when there are two different versions ofPro/ENGINEER installed on one machine and they are share the same cache.& ]! E" l# _# ^* X
/ s! R* E- ?9 F9 c. S, m1 p# }
To resolve this issue, there are two ways:

! ]& m3 J O% z BOne way is to delete the cache before startup Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0.7 x1 Q, }. v i! |
>> Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator（or yourlogin name）\Application Data\PTC\ProENGINEER\Wildfire\.wf, delete the.wf folder.
) x& t8 w5 o8 j) a5 ~% ?2 A>> If you had set system environment PTC_WF_ROOT, please delete the folder under PTC_WF_ROOT.$ Y* A- d5 K: Y8 Z
U6 G: w# {' t6 u- R4 k. A
The other way is to add system environment at Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 startup command.
; t) b1 Y6 [5 L* x- [: F& a' P% F>> Open the Pro/ENGINEER startup file .psf (at<proe_loadpoint>\bin folder) with wordpad, add a line"ENV=PTC_WF_ROOT=D:\workspace\windchill\Forwf4", the valueD:\workspace\windchill\Forwf4 is the path for writing cache. (Refer tobellowed picture) |
