fabrication. It is prepared by considering beginners as well as technical personnel already

information on various aspects, including applications.9 ` K7 I/ n+ h
The book has seven chapters. Each of these were prepared by a group of experts from
4 x5 N% }4 k9 {/ {different parts of the world. The first chapter, the introduction, gives some definitions
$ `+ F% n5 H' y- B# Oand classifications with some depth on the matrices and reinforcements for all types of
) q# S' n5 o3 x6 Icomposite structures, including polymeric, metallic and ceramic matrix composites. More
# @% J2 L: @* ]& ~+ T" O" `: Gdetailed information about constituent materials (matrices and reinforcements) is provided
s6 L8 a( P( ?2 Z2 ^in chapter 2. Different processing techniques of polymer composites are discussed in the3 Q! |2 y) O$ B! Y4 i; Z$ t+ [
following chapters, briefly: open mould (in Chapter 3) and closed mould (matched die)
, _3 O: k \: H0 w4 l5 M/ J: p% hprocesses, filament winding (Chapter 4) and pultrusion (Chapter 5). The book ends with
2 l5 G; z8 M, t) M4 {* f; C9 Ythe machining and joining processes commonly used for polymer composite structures.
