( V% B4 N, d) i: d$ R7 wI  was walking down the street when I was accosted  by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking  homeless woman who asked me for a couple of  dollars for dinner.  
当我正沿着街道行走的时候，我被一个看起来衣衫破旧、非常肮脏无家可归的女游民搭讪，她问我有没有一两块钱给她吃晚餐。I  took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and  asked, 'If I give you this money, will you buy  wine with it instead of dinner?'  我取出了我的皮夹，拿出了十元然后问，如果我给你这钱，你将会用它去买葡萄酒而非晚餐吗？

'Are  you NUTS!' replied the homeless woman. I haven't  had my hair done in 20  years!'你疯了吗！' 无家的女人回答。我已经20 年没有做过头发！
'Well,  I said, 'I'm not going to give you the money.  Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner  with my husband and me tonight..'很好，我说，那我不要给你钱。相反地，今晚我要带妳去，和我的丈夫一起吃晚餐。'

I  said, 'That's okay. It's important for him to  see what a woman looks like after she has given  up shopping, hair appointments, and wine.'我说，那没关系。重要的是让他知道，当一个女人在她放弃购物、做头发和美酒之后，看起来会像什么。
