Composites held in Kyoto, Japan in August 1996. The second workshop held in Montreal in August 1998 furthers
( P' y) J3 q/ j4 u7 I$ X6 ethe objective of providing a forum for interaction on a large scale among researchers, engineers and scientists8 e5 Q; q" f4 {6 H: G$ c3 Y
between Canada and Japan. This second joint workshop is co-organized by Professor Suong V. Hoa of Concordia4 d: h3 K- I2 j& c; K0 Y7 [6 ^
Centre for Composites, Concordia University and Professor Hiroyuki Hamada from Kyoto Institute of Technology,+ S5 Z! i+ Y9 T. s; p% v  L% o$ t
Kyoto, Japan. Apart from technical presentations, the workshop also includes exhibits from companies and visits to; T7 b" b7 I' T7 M) w5 H
the Industrial Materials Institute and to Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Ltd.
& V' n; a, v$ R- H3 e. IThe technical presentations cover a range of topics from thermoplastic composites, metal matrix composites,
