first I wanna explain some terms" A: ]$ R6 Y8 I* z9 P/ [

filter--- a device whose function is to retain by some porous medium insoluble contaminants form a fluid2 k; t- Y& R4 ?; G# s$ c* @
strainer--- a coarse filter " e3 C; o$ p% a5 w$ }$ ?& ybaffle plate --used to separate the pump inlet from the resturn line so that the fluid must circulate first before being drawn in at the inlet . it can allow foreign material to settle and entrained air to rise. It makes sure that the fluid does get enough time to get rid of entrained air. not directly go back to pump or operating line. You must know that .. air need time to form bubble and rise out.) x e, F5 z. Q V/ e& {% |

I may add other reference later. hehe c! ~2 J! T4 G- k4 ^4 [. c# U. R: `' B5 e
hope it helps..
moreover. 3 n' H/ K6 s d! v1 V/ M' I. NYou know, when the baffle plate used in your resiorvar . it makes the fluid to be turbulent flow. that's causing pressure drop in your fluid. 6 O4 k) F; g; g6 \( ywith drop, the entrained air can form bubble out of fluid.2 |. p/ I* a$ P# [

to reach a good performance, you can set your baffle plate far from you inlet . to make sure the fluid smoothly flows.
