Surlyn® 8920 thermoplastic resin is an advanced ethylene/methacrylic acid (E/MAA) copolymer, in which
" V7 N. I7 n) t1 j- g- V+ jthe MAA acid groups have been partially neutralized with sodium ions. The amount of MAA and$ T- G6 I6 ?! g) v9 P& A
neutralization levels for this grade result in excellent abrasion resistance, clarity, and stiffness. The resin
9 m {9 x+ {, j3 I, y+ _" p/ ocan be injection or blow molded, and is processable by extrusion into sheets or shapes. It also can be used
* I" M1 _9 D' G" m( ^as a nucleating agent for PET molding applications. The resin complies with the provisions of U.S. Food7 X9 C0 {8 V& Y9 r! F
and Drug Administration (FDA) Title 21 Code of Regulations 177:1330. Typical performance properties are- c' K+ @" V& z* A4 v
