Oil hardenable steel alloy recommended for dies, punches, gauges and tools. It should be used where a greater degree of accuracy is desired in hardening. " i, s; ~7 U% `+ C0 w Y" ~For cross sections smaller than 1/4” heat to 1450º - 1475ºF (788º - 802ºC) and hold until heated through. For larger sections, preheat to 1200ºF (649ºC), then raise to 1450º - 1500ºF (788º - 815ºC) hardening temperature, hold half an hour per inch of cross section. Quench in oil at 125º-150ºF (52º- 65ºC) and TEMPER IMMEDIATELY. |
