Cimatron E11安装时的END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT（最终用户许可协议）第二条是这么写的：

2. LIMITED RIGHT TO ACCESS
- H% Z- h# `. D  s0 aYOU agree that the SOFTWARE may connect to and access the CIMATRON online update server and deliver data regarding the SOFTWARE and the computer on which it is installed, for the limited purpose of correctly activating and using CIMATRON online update mechanism. The data will be used by CIMATRON for no other purpose.

因此使用者在Cimatron E11安装时就被Cimatron Group明确告知了程序联网行为。

在将随带E11安装的Cimatron Download Schedule（下图系统控制面板程序和功能中显示的安装项）服务的启动类型设置为手动后，并在E11控制面板的Main Menu中配置好了CimatronE Updates，去掉Options中默认勾选的Allow scheduled download of Product updates, Check for updates on PC startup, Check for updates on Product startup三个选项。尽管做了这些设置，CimatronE在启动后仍然触发了E11安装目录(CimatronE\Program)内的CimatronUpgradeVersion.exe可执行程序，CimatronUpgradeVersion.exe在启动后使用网页443网页浏览端口执行HTTPS通信，向212.25.91.137这个IP地址传输数据包。也就是勾掉选择Check for updates on Product startup选项后程序仍然联网检查更新，Cimatron E11程序启动后激发CimatronUpgradeVersion.exe运行并联网是强制行为。

“Check for updates on Product startup”选项的存在是类似临床医学中的心理安慰剂作用，用户相信该选项是有效的，其实是无效的。这或许是cimatron的人员有意为之。
