8.4 Classification
0 J; ^& C$ ^: w" ?: w* @The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance

8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:1 V; e) `. D5 L) D8 C
a) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;: s$ \) h0 c" F$ S2 n
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the2 v9 t( x$ w$ p
flame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;+ l0 N) L6 Z# Z2 F
c) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding
) e6 y# c$ i3 s T$ L; ~) c3 r& D40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding
7 ^6 {( S1 d* t6 \# g; q75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;
6 B# H( q- R( {5 j4 |0 h2 y6 \d) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm
: {5 a- n! w% H# vthickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness.$ K* G0 Y1 ]. J$ o n$ R, T% C1 f
8.4.2 A material classified HB40 shall present one of the following criteria:$ |6 x5 C2 w! z$ [ b2 _+ E5 e
