Composites held in Kyoto, Japan in August 1996. The second workshop held in Montreal in August 1998 furthers
' T4 H* r& D* [( Sthe objective of providing a forum for interaction on a large scale among researchers, engineers and scientists
4 H; z# E( D% c& W# Q6 s9 L2 tbetween Canada and Japan. This second joint workshop is co-organized by Professor Suong V. Hoa of Concordia& Y# F6 D4 r0 q1 S; u6 I
Centre for Composites, Concordia University and Professor Hiroyuki Hamada from Kyoto Institute of Technology,
  L$ ?8 e+ H* r8 d* c: V" ?Kyoto, Japan. Apart from technical presentations, the workshop also includes exhibits from companies and visits to
5 _; I, Y- ~& |0 l/ p) vthe Industrial Materials Institute and to Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Ltd.

ceramic composites, smart composites, textile composites, manufacturing methods, fatigue and impact failure,
