Unable to startup Wildfire 4.0 with only the logo appeared then disappeared.

When startup Wildfire 4.0, only the logo appear then disappear, Wildfire 4.0 cannot be launched.

This issue happened when there are two different versions ofPro/ENGINEER installed on one machine and they are share the same cache., b( E2 ~! D! d. R, z

To resolve this issue, there are two ways:

# T) p2 r, s( @* Q: NOne way is to delete the cache before startup Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0.5 N# _- v% q+ Z
>> Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator（or yourlogin name）\Application Data\PTC\ProENGINEER\Wildfire\.wf, delete the.wf folder.; F4 J& ~& |; W) e/ U; P: [
>> If you had set system environment PTC_WF_ROOT, please delete the folder under PTC_WF_ROOT.: A1 X% Q. t3 b5 \6 h; G+ W( D2 b
: L# _, x( a2 ]/ J; T7 b" s" b* OThe other way is to add system environment at Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 startup command.) x) r6 b0 w- c( l. [
>> Open the Pro/ENGINEER startup file .psf (at<proe_loadpoint>\bin folder) with wordpad, add a line"ENV=PTC_WF_ROOT=D:\workspace\windchill\Forwf4", the valueD:\workspace\windchill\Forwf4 is the path for writing cache. (Refer tobellowed picture) |
