Surlyn® 8920 thermoplastic resin is an advanced ethylene/methacrylic acid (E/MAA) copolymer, in which
, r: V9 w" e! x/ }the MAA acid groups have been partially neutralized with sodium ions. The amount of MAA and
6 O, V+ l& a0 O8 ?3 r) j& dneutralization levels for this grade result in excellent abrasion resistance, clarity, and stiffness. The resin1 }* u7 k! P8 P' w- K9 \
can be injection or blow molded, and is processable by extrusion into sheets or shapes. It also can be used: h8 ^! k' W* c# v" T6 P
as a nucleating agent for PET molding applications. The resin complies with the provisions of U.S. Food! V9 i- s6 h4 a, m: G) X4 z( S
and Drug Administration (FDA) Title 21 Code of Regulations 177:1330. Typical performance properties are: n: e$ [' Z/ K
